Jamie Alexander spent years doing everything she was told she was “supposed” to do. She went to school, climbed the corporate ladder, and built a career working as a Store Director at Target, all while growing her family. Her life was the picture of success – she was earning great money, she was leading teams…
And yet, the math wasn’t mathing.
“When I looked around, something didn’t sit right with me,” Jamie said. “The people around me, many of them high performers and leaders, were exhausted. They were stressed, running on empty, struggling with their health, and disconnected from their bodies. They didn’t have energy. They didn’t feel confident when they looked in the mirror. And they didn’t have the balance they were working so hard for.”
The bigger issue is that she saw those same cycles and patterns in herself, which Jamie describes as a “turning point” in her life.
Jamie told us, “I realized that success without health isn’t success at all. I didn’t want to build a life where achievement came at the cost of my well-being or my family. I wanted something different, and I knew other women did too.”

This realization came on the heels of Jamie discovering she was pregnant with her “surprise” third baby. “I realized I couldn’t be the mom I wanted to be while keeping up with the demands of corporate life,” she said.
So while Jamie was on maternity leave, she decided to switch gears and get certified as a personal trainer – and Living Well with Jamie was born.
Jamie took the time to tell us more about her business and the mission behind her work.
How are you creating impact through your business?
JA: My business is making impact on multiple levels. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and within the family. The women I work with aren’t just losing weight. They’re rebuilding their health in a way that lasts.
Physically, I’ve supported women through major transformations, including losing 50 pounds or more, lowering blood pressure, improving energy, and building strength they didn’t think was possible at their age or stage of life. I’ve helped clients come off or reduce reliance on weight loss medications by teaching them how to nourish their bodies, move with intention, and build consistency without extremes. I’ve also worked with women to increase bone density through strength training and proper nutrition, including clients who have improved osteoporosis diagnoses and reduced dependence on medication because their bodies were getting stronger.
A large portion of the women I serve are in perimenopause or menopause and had been told weight gain, fatigue, and feeling “off” were just part of aging. Through personalized coaching, many of them tell me they finally feel like themselves again. They’re losing weight after years of feeling stuck, gaining energy, sleeping better, and understanding how daily movement and strength training support their hormones instead of working against them.

What matters most to me is that the transformation doesn’t stop when the program ends. Clients consistently tell me that working together changed their lives, not just their bodies. I see women years later who are the same size, if not stronger, more confident, and continuing to progress because they learned how to live this way. They no longer rely on short-term plans. They have skills, awareness, and habits they can sustain.
The deepest impact shows up at home. When a woman learns how to nourish herself and prioritize her health, her family benefits. Kids start eating better. Partners become more mindful. Movement becomes normal. Health becomes part of the household culture. This is why my work centers on generational health. I’m not just helping women transform. I’m helping them lead healthier families and create a legacy of strength, consistency, and self-care that lasts for generations.
What are some of your biggest accomplishments in your business?
JA: From a business standpoint, building Living Well with Jamie into a sustainable, award-winning wellness company has been a major accomplishment. I created and scaled my signature Elite Transformation Accountability Program, which has helped women across the U.S. and internationally transform their health through personalized fitness, nutrition, mindset, and accountability. The program has earned industry recognition, including being named Best Online Fitness and Wellness Program for Busy Women (2024) and receiving the Brainz 500 Global Award for leadership and impact. I’ve also been featured in multiple publications and currently serve as an Executive Contributor for Brainz Magazine, sharing thought leadership on holistic wellness.
From an impact perspective, some of my proudest accomplishments are seeing clients achieve life-changing health outcomes. This includes women losing 30 to 50 pounds, improving blood pressure and metabolic health, increasing bone density, and changing osteoporosis diagnoses through strength training and sustainable nutrition. I’ve supported women in transitioning off weight loss medications by teaching them how to maintain results through lifestyle changes instead of quick fixes.
Equally meaningful is the longevity of the results. Many of my clients maintain their transformations for years after completing the program. They continue to progress, stay consistent, and live out the habits they built, which speaks to the sustainability of the work. Seeing women feel confident again, regain their energy, and become healthier examples for their families is the accomplishment that matters most to me.

What drives you to do this work with women?
JA: I’ve seen happen when health is ignored for too long.
I’ve watched strong, high-performing women give everything to their careers, their families, and everyone around them while quietly putting themselves last. I lived it. I saw it in corporate spaces. I see it every day in the women I coach. They’re capable, driven, and successful, yet exhausted, disconnected from their bodies, and frustrated by how they feel and what they see when they look in the mirror.
What truly fuels my work is loss. I had a close friend pass away at the early age of 41 due to health-related issues that, in many ways, could have been prevented. She didn’t have the education or support around nutrition, movement, or prioritizing her health. Losing her changed me. It made me realize how often people are placed on medications or given early diagnoses for things that could be improved, delayed, or even avoided with better nourishment, consistent movement, and lifestyle changes.
That experience solidified my mission.
I believe women deserve to feel strong, energized, and confident in every season of life. I believe health should be proactive, not reactive. And I believe the habits we build today shape not only our future, but the future of our families.
What drives me is creating generational health. When women learn how to care for their bodies, fuel themselves properly, and move with intention, they change the environment around them. Their children see it. Their families benefit. Health becomes a lifestyle, not something you scramble to fix later.
This work isn’t just what I do. It’s why I do it. Helping women protect their health, reclaim their vitality, and build a legacy of wellness is the impact I’m committed to making.
Looking down the road, what do you see for Living Well with Jamie?
JA: My big vision is to redefine what health looks like for women and how wellness is integrated into everyday life.
I envision Living Well with Jamie becoming a trusted, global wellness platform that supports women not just through programs, but through education, systems, and community. I want to scale the Elite Transformation Accountability Program so it reaches thousands of women while maintaining the personalized, high-touch support that makes it so effective.

Beyond individual coaching, my vision is to expand into corporate and organizational wellness, helping companies support high-performing women in a way that prioritizes long-term health, energy, and sustainability instead of burnout. Wellness shouldn’t be an afterthought or a perk. It should be built into how people live and work.
At the heart of everything is generational health. I want to create resources, frameworks, and tools that help women build healthy households and pass those habits down to their families. My long-term vision includes scalable programs, digital education, community platforms, and partnerships that allow this work to reach families across different stages of life.
Ultimately, my goal is impact over scale alone. I want to help women feel strong, confident, and supported while building a legacy of health that lasts for generations.
What’s the best advice you’ve received as a business owner?
JA: Stay the course and trust the process, even when the results aren’t immediately visible.
Early in my career and again as an entrepreneur, I was reminded that growth rarely happens all at once. It happens quietly, through consistency, discipline, and showing up when no one is watching. That advice taught me not to panic when things felt slow or uncertain, but instead to focus on doing the work well and doing it repeatedly.
It was impactful because it shifted how I measure success. Instead of chasing quick wins or external validation, I learned to value progress, alignment, and resilience. That mindset has carried me through seasons of doubt, fear, and growth. It’s the same principle I now teach my clients and apply to my business. When you trust the process and refuse to quit, the results eventually follow.

What advice would you give to other women business owners?
JA: Keep going, even when it’s uncomfortable, messy, or scary.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to move forward. Some of the most important growth in my business came from failing forward. From trying things that didn’t work, learning quickly, and adjusting instead of quitting. Progress comes from action, not perfection.
I also believe deeply in doing things scared. Waiting to feel ready will keep you stuck. Confidence is built by showing up, not before you start. Every time you take action despite fear, you strengthen your belief in yourself.
Consistency is what separates the businesses that last from the ones that fade out. Not intensity. Not overnight success. Consistency. Small, committed steps taken over time compound in ways you can’t see in the moment.
And most importantly, don’t quit. As long as you don’t quit, you’re still in the game. You may pivot. You may evolve. You may grow slower than expected. But quitting is the only way to guarantee you don’t win.
They should pay attention to this advice because it’s how real businesses are built. Sustainable success comes from resilience, adaptability, and the decision to keep showing up, even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed yet.
A book every business owner should read: The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. It completely shifted how I approach my mornings, discipline, and consistency. How you start your day truly sets the tone for everything else.
Your go-to podcast: The Manifested podcast. I love anything that blends mindset, growth, and becoming the next-level version of yourself.
Most unhinged thing you’ve done in the name of business: Built a business while raising two kids, being pregnant, working full-time, waking up at 5 a.m. to work out, and showing up online before I felt ready or confident. I’ve hit “post” scared more times than I can count.
Fun fact: I feel like I live in a zoo. I have three kids and three animals, two cats and a dog. It’s never a dull moment.
